  1. Remove all traces of old nail polish using a good nail polish remover. You are advised not to use cotton balls for removing the polish as cotton threads tend to stick to the nails. Try using a make up sponge instead for a smooth and clear removal.

  2. The actual application of the nail polish is to be completed in 3 steps. The first coat should be done down the center of your nail. This is followed by application of 2 different strokes of paint on both sides of the first stroke individually.

  3. While applying the nail polish, cover the tips of your nail with the paint such that it extends down below your nails too. This creates a kind of wrap around your nail tips and helps to prevent the chipping of the nails.

  4. In case the nail paint is chipping off, it is always better to remove it completely and apply a fresh coat of paint.

  5. If you are in a hurry and do not have the time to reapply the nail polish, you can try dipping your nails in the remover. This softens the nail polish so that you can smoothen it. After this you can apply a fresh coat of paint on top.

  6. Give you nail polish time to dry fully before doing anything with your hands as this is the best way to avoid smudging. Nail polish usually takes around an hour to completely dry.

  7. Do remember to apply a top coat over your nail polish to make it last for a longer period of time. You can apply a top coat every other day to keep your nail paint sparkling.
