What is acne?
Teenagers often have a question in their mind that what is acne? The mark of acne is very disturbing on your face. You must have tried different things to remove the marks. The latest ad in the television and newspaper might have made you run to the departmental store to buy the acne protection product. But before you try any product on your face, you must have an answer to the question: What is acne? What causes acne? What is the best possible way to cure acne? It is advised that any acne protection should not be tried without knowing the reasons.
Different level of researches are been going on for acne. Doctors say that acne affects mainly teenagers. Some say that due to consumption of high oily food, people get affected wit acne. But the actual reason behind acne is different. There are different hormonal changes in the body during teenage. The reason for acne is androgens. When a male or a female reaches teenage, then the level of androgens increases in the body. Extra oil called sebum appears on the face. This affects the male as androgen is a hormone found in men. The extra oil on the face blocks the oil glands and the ends get blocked. This in a way leads to acne on the face.
This acne should be prevented from occurring and you need extra care to cure them. Acne may be cured but the mark remains. There can be several reasons for acne. Few of them are mentioned below:
- Too much of tension may lead to acne.
- Not keeping tidy can get you acne.
- Malnutrition is another reason for acne.
It is not only the face in the whole body which gets affected with acne. There are other parts of the body which also gets affected with acne. These areas get affected due to non cleanliness. The areas in the body which gets affected with acne are:
- Shoulders
- Face
- Upper arms
- Back
- Neck
- Chest
Acne and its type
Acne is of two types:
- Non inflammatory
- Inflammatory
Difficulties arise when the face is affected with inflammatory acne. In such a scenario, the whiteheads get affected and pimples of reed color appear. At times the acne gets transformed into a cyst. Then gradually it becomes a scar on the face which gets difficult to be removed. Such acne should not be neglected. Always consult a doctor when your acne gets a little serious. At times you might have to operate acne if it gets very serious.
Cure Acne Effectively
The followings will help you to cure acne in the most effective way:
- You must avoid: Refined sugar, mill and milk products, processed food, sherbet, white Bread, skimmed milk products, and cottage cheese.
- Benozyl peroxide can cure acne. These are tropical bacterial cream and effective to cure acne.
- Different herbs can cure acne. Like, Cleavers, Burdock, Echinacea and butternut. With 5 ml of tincture you can grind any of the above mentioned herbs. Apply the paste three times in a day.
- You can also apply orange peel powder mixed with water to cure acne.
- Take a sun bath and cure acne.
- Lemon juice with cinnamon paste should be applied three times a day to get best result for acne.
- Grind nutmeg and raw milk together to get a paste. Apply it on acne for best result.
- Garlic juice is vital for acne. You may apply the juice to cure acne.
- The face wash that you use should be a special one for acne.
- Any cosmetic that you use should be oil free.
- The moisturizing lotion for your face must be non-comedogenic.
You might have treated the acne in your body. But the scar generally remains. You will have to treat the scars too. Few affective ways to treat the scars are:
- To remove the marks use apple cider vinegar. This will act as a toner for the skin and it will help you to remove the scars too.
- Acne scar can be treated with rose water mixed with sandalwood paste.
- Tomato juice also helps in removing the acne scars.
- Use turmeric paste thrice a week to remove scars.
- You can rub ice cubes on the acne affected areas to lighten the acne scars.
- Sage and aloe vera may be dipped in water. Then the tonic should be cooled. Once cooled you may apply it on your face to remove acne scars.
