Body Skin




Skin is one of the most important body parts. It covers our body and protects us from all the harmful exposure from outside. It is the body skin, which is one of the reasons that our looks get defined. The softness and the smoothness of the body skin, the complexion and the glow rendered by it proclaim the beauty of an individual.

The body skin is the gift of God but to keep it charming is the responsibility of the possessor. If one doesn’t take enough care of this gift then it will be a loss to him or her forever as then the skin will be bereft of its true texture and this valuable asset will be ruined before time.

The body skin just not covers the body but it performs an entire range of functions. It enfolds the body within an effective protection from all wear, tear, bashes, blows, knocks and whops. The body skin to a great extent also keeps away the germs and let the excess water out of the body. The skin emits the residue body water out of the several pores in form of sweat. This, in turn not only helps the body cool down but also keeps away the harmful chemicals which are not required by our body.

The complexion we possess is also another trick played by the skin. It is the body skin which comprises a pigment called melanin. It is the number of this melanin pigment that provides the color to the skin. The presence of more melanin pigment in the skin makes it darker and the presence of less melanin pigment results in fair skin. It is the fairness of the body skin, which almost all individuals hanker after, but it is not really very possible to get a fair looking skin at one’s wish. The only thing we can have is a healthy skin with a superb glow as a darker skin with marked radiance is far better than an undernourished fair skin.

The body skin in most cases is neglected as people mainly stress upon their facial skin and takes more care of it than the other skin parts. Therefore the other parts get prone to ill looks. Some of the areas that very often become susceptible to rough patches, dull and sickly color and texture are arms, legs, elbows, feet and knees.

Here are some easy measures to combat the skin from looking unattractive.

Care of the Body Skin

  • The skin should have a thorough wash daily.
  • The soap should be very mild
  • The skin needs to be moisturized at least once daily
  • Special care should be taken while doing shaving, waxing and bleaching the skin. If somehow, one of the actions needs to be taken, then special care should be taken about the skin. It should be massaged evenly with a good moisturizer. It is not advisable to use very warm water for washing the skin.
  • The products to be applied over the skin should be tasted before use. If any one of them will have an adverse effect then the use should be stopped.
