Pock Marks
Pock marks are crater-like scars left on a person's face, caused by acne. Pock marks are also caused by infections such as chicken pox. They are usually brown or pink colored scars. The size, frequency and type of pock marks are dependent on genetic factors. Pock marks are completely curable, if treated in the early stages.
There are mainly two types of pock marks. The simple pock mark is usually a spot left on the skin. A simple pock mark is brown, pink or purple in color. The color signifies the prominence of acne or pimples.
The ice pick pock mark is usually a small crater in the skin where the lesion used to be. Ice pick pock marks generally left behind only by inflamed lesions, which may include nodules, pustules, or cysts. This may happen as a result infectious diseases like chicken pox, which leads to eruptive growth on the skin.
