Things you need for making Rosemary Astringent:

  • Rosemary powder-2 tablespoon
  • Orange peelings-1 tablespoon


  • Lemon peelings-2 tablespoon
  • ¼ brandy
  • Witch-hazel for making mild astringent
  • 4 twigs of mint leaves
  • Rosewater-1cup
  • An airtight bottle

Preparation of Rosemary Astringent:

  • Take some rose water in a container and soak the lemon peels, orange peels and mint leaves for sometime.
  • Bring the liquid content to a boil for an hour.
  • Strain the content properly to get the astringent liquid.
  • In an airtight bottle put this liquid and add ¼ brandy. You also have option to add witch-hazel incase you wish to make a mild astringent.
  • Mix the contents of the bottle well by shaking the bottle gently.
  • Let it stay that way for 50-70 hours at stretch and then put the bottle in the refrigerator.

How to apply Rosemary Astringent:

  • Cleanse your face properly.
  • Dab a cotton ball in rosemary tonic and wipe all over your face and neck.
  • If you do not like wiping, then put the tonic in a spray bottle and use it as rosemary spray. Spray all over the face and gently run a cotton ball over the skin.
This astringent is suitable for most skin types. The antiseptic and astringent properties of rosemary make it an effective natural skin care option for fighting skin problems.
