Honey Astringent
You may have explored the goodness of honey and included it in your diet; however, are you aware of its effectiveness for your skin? If not, then you will be surprised to know that honey is a natural astringent and it is simply wonderful for your skin. Honey helps to build the body's immune system and works as an energy booster-at the same time honey is a great natural skin toner for its antioxidant and antibacterial properties.
Making honey astringent is very easy. Just get hold of some natural ingredients and prepare a skin care recipe at home.
Things you need for Honey Astringent:
- 1-2 tablespoon honey
- Few drops of sandalwood oil
- A pinch of musk or sandalwood chips
- ¼ teaspoon lavender oil
- ? Teaspoon clove oil
- 1 teaspoon bergamot oil
- 4 tablespoon rose water
- 4 tablespoons orange flower water
- Air tight glass bottle
Preparation of Honey Astringent:
- In a glass bottle, mix 1-2 tablespoon of honey and 4 tablespoon of rose water.
- After few minutes, add some drops of sandalwood oil and a pinch of musk.
- Shake the bottle gently as you add the components.
- Pour lavender oil, clove oil and bergamot oil in the bottle and mix with the bottle content.
- Add 4 tablespoons orange flower water in the end
- Keep the jar in a cool place for 2 weeks, no need to refrigerate.
- Make sure that the bottle is airtight.
How to apply Honey Astringent:
- Clean the face with a good cleanser before applying the honey tonic.
- Saturate a cotton ball with the astringent solution and gently wipe it all over your face and neck
