Scrubs & Exfoliants
Scrubs & exfoliants are products that helps to keep your skin smooth. These products remove the accumulated dirt and oil that tend to clog the pores of your facial skin. Facials do not cater to the removal of dead skin from your face. In order to remove dead skin, and to some extent scrub out the black heads, facial scrubs are important. Facial exfoliants perform the same task as a scrub and they also prevent wrinkles and other lines of aging.
Choosing the right facial exfoliants and scrubs is a must. The scrubs that can be used for an oily skin might not work on a dry skin and vice versa. Read instructions and indications before you use the product on your face.
When you apply a scrub to your face make sure you do it slowly and softly. You facial skin is soft and hard rubbing might cause unrepairable damage. Skin rash and irritation are common symptoms of wrong scrubbing. Moisten your face, take minimum amount of facial scrub and apply it with your finger tips. Rub it in a circular motion for the best effect. Scrub for a minute and wash off your face. Ideally, a facial scrub is required thrice a week. Never overdo scrubbing. The fresh look on your face might instigate you to scrub on a daily basis but it causes more harm than good.
Scrubbing is a ritual and you must follow the right pattern of facial treatment. Before scrubbing make sure that you wash your face with a cleanser or face wash. That must be followed by scrubbing. While you scrub, the dead skin is removed and pores are cleaned. This process leaves your pores open for sometime. To avoid attracting dirt immediately after scrubbing, dab dry your face and apply a light moisturizer. This would prevent clogging of pores and also nourish your facial skin.
