Facial massage




Giving a massage to your face is important to keep the facial muscles in place and that also relieves the muscle tension of the face. Facial massage also improves blood and lymph circulation and the skin feels fresh.

1.Choose a massage oil that suits your skin type the best. Before that try to know your skin type. You can follow the simple recipe (as given here) for a facial massage. Take half (2.5 ml) to 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of oil should be apt for a 5-minute facial massage.

2.Starting at the base of the throat, you have to move gently upwards and make outward strokes and make a sliding movement along the jaw line. Make the sliding movement towards the base of your ears as well and then over the cheeks and lastly around your lips.

3.You have to now slowly tap your fingers around your eyes, starting at the outer edge and then patting inward.

4.After this, try to massage at the center portion of the forehead. Apply circular motions over your temples.

5.The entire procedure must be repeated at least 5 times. The oil shouldn’t be rinsed off completely as they have by now got absorbed in the skin.

Mix all the ingredients in a 30 ml dark glass bottle and shake thoroughly such that all the mixtures blend well. Then store in a dry, dark cabinet and for best results, use it within a year.

Tips to follow during a facial massage

  • You have to cup your hands around the head, with thumbs placed on the forehead and your fingertips on the temples.
  • You have to press in between the eyebrow area with the help of your thumb. Repeat this step for quite some time.
  • Then massage the temples by making circular motion with your fingers. Continue with the circles along the jawbone up to the chin.
