Preparation of hand cream




Do you get time to take care of your beautiful hands? Most of us go for skin care treatments or facials but forget about hands. Your hands require care as your face. To pamper your hands you don’t even need to go to a beauty parlor. Use hand creams regularly to make your hands attractive. Preparation of hand cream is very easy. You can easily prepare hand creams at home.Beeswax is the most commonly used natural ingredients for making hand creams. Beeswax prevents your hand from the drying. Before using a hand cream do use a good hand scrub to remove the dead skin cells from your skin. Scrub opens the pores so that cream can easily pierce in.

Recipes for Hand cream


Hand cream for dry skin

You will require 3/4 cup of almond oil or apricot, 1/2 oz of grated beeswax, 1 teaspoon lanolin and 1/3 cup of coconut oil or cocoa butter. To make this cream you have to melt all the above mentioned ingredients. Pour the mixture in the container after it cools down.

Coconut hand cream

Take 1/4 cup of beeswax, 1/3 cup of glycerin, 3 tablespoons of baby oil and 1/4 cup coconut oil. You need to melt the beeswax and coconut oil. Put the other ingredients and mix it smoothly for 5 minutes over low heat. Keep the mix in a clean container.

Almond hand cream

Take 1/2 cup of coconut oil and almond oil, 1/4 cup of rosewater and 1/4 cup of beeswax. Put beeswax and coconut oil on the double boiler to melt. Then mix the rest of the ingredients and blend it nicely till the mass is consistent. The mix will harden after it cools down.

Cocoa butter hand moisturizer

You will need 1/2 ounces spirits of ammonia, 2 cups of lukewarm water, 1 ½ cups of glycerin, 1/2 ounces cocoa butter, 1/2 teaspoon of boric acid and 1 cup of stearic acid. To prepare this moisturizer mix the cocoa butter, glycerin and stearic acid in a glass pan and melt it on a reduced heat.

After you remove the mixture from the heat put ammonia to it. Blend it nicely till the mixture turns milky. Now add boric acid in the warm water and stir it for about 10 minutes. Essential oil can also be added for fragrance. Now, the moisturizer is ready and you can pour it on a clean plastic or glass container for 2 weeks before you use it.

Beeswax based hand cream

Take 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, 3 tablespoon of grated beeswax, 1/2 cup of light sesame oil, 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 tablespoon liquid lanolin, 2 tablespoon strong chamomile tea and 1 teaspoon honey. Mix all the ingredients. Put the ingredients in a glass ovenproof container and heat it in a microwave. After the wax melts pour it in a clean jar. Leave it to cool.

Apricot hand moisturizer

Take 6 dried apricots, 1 ounce grated beeswax, 1 cup of apricot oil, 5 Vitamin E capsules, 2 cups of water, 1/2 cup of aloe vera gel and 1/2 cup of coconut oil. Boil water and dried apricots in a saucepan for 20 minutes. Allow it to cool down. Mix apricot oil, beeswax and coconut oil in a double boiler and mix it for 10 minutes. Put the mixture in a glass container. Now, stir the water and apricots. Put aloe vera gel and Vitamin E capsules to it. Now add the beeswax and blend it nicely. Your, moisturizer is ready and now you can pour it in the glass jar and store it.
