Natural Combination Skin Care Tips

Know your skin type—this is the basic mantra for effective skin care. Once you have identified your skin type you can follow your skin care regimen. Natural Combination Skin Care Tips given here will help you to take proper care of your combination skin. Combination skin is a mix of oily skin and dry skin. As with all other skin types there are "natural skin care tips" for combination skin, too. Following these simple tips can help you to get youthful, glowing skin.

Typically, the "T-zone" (the T-zone of the "Temple zone" is the area covering the forehead and nose) is the oily part for those with combination skin. However, there are some who have patches of dry skin and oily skin that is not restricted to the T-zone. This is not that difficult to find out.

How to find the oily areas of your skin?
  • Wash your face with a mild face wash. Use a soft towel to pat your face dry. Do not apply anything on your face.
  • After 30-60 minutes, press a soft (dry) tissue paper onto your face—with your palms (gently). Keep it pressed onto your face for 1 minute.
  • Remove the tissue paper from your face. The oily portions of the tissue paper will show you the oily areas of your face.

  • Make sure that you follow a low-oil diet, balanced. Do not forget to exercise regularly. If you can't go to a gym or go for a swim every day, make sure that you walk for 30 minutes every day. Your fitness regimen is just as important as your beauty regimen. The time you rush to work should not be a part of this fitness regimen—you should be relaxed when you go for your regular daily half-hour walk.
