There are now plenty of beauty treatments available in the market but often these are costly as well as time consuming. At time you may even have to set an appointment with your beautician prior to visit the beauty parlor. Further, the newly discovered surgical and chemical beauty treatments can have side effects in the long run. Nature on the other hand is blessed with many ingredients that are being used to enhance beauty for a long time.

Since the ancient time women have used natural ingredients in enhancing their beauties. Natural ingredients are often inexpensive, without side effects and also they can be prepared and applied at home. Following are some of the natural beauty tips which you can make and use at your home.

Skin care: Natural beauty tips
The nature is endowed with many natural ingredients that can be used to get brilliant skin tone. There are natural facemasks, cleansers and scrubs which can be used in daily beauty regimen. Check out the following natural beauty recipes for skin.

Kiwi Facial Cleansing Cream

This natural cleansing cream can be used regularly without side effects. This will deep clean the skin, remove dirt and dust from it and leave the skin really soft and supple.
  • 1 kiwi peeled; take the pulp only
  • 2 tablespoon of plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of almond oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • finely ground almonds, 1 teaspoon
Take the pulp of the kiwi and put it in the food processor. Then add yogurt, almond oil, grounded almond and honey to it. Blend well. It will form a thick cream. Apply the paste on your face and neck. Keep it for a while and remove it in circular motion. Wash your face with plenty of water. You can see immediate result of using the natural cleanser. It’ll leave your skin soft and supple.

Buttermilk and Fennel seeds cleanser for oily skin
This is a useful cleansing recipe for oily skin. It helps reducing the oil secretion as well as deep cleanses your skin.
  • ½ a cup of buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons of crushed fennel seeds.
Heat the buttermilk on a double boiler and add crushed fennel seeds to it. Let it boil for 30mins and then let the mixture rest for another 2 hours. Once the mixture cools down, stain and store it for use. This can be preserved in the freezer for upto two weeks.

Cucumber and honey toner
Toning is an essential part of your daily beauty regimen. Cucumber is a natural toner. It tightens your skin and helps maintaining its elasticity. Honey on the other hand is the best source of moisturizer.
  • 1 medium cucumber peeled and grated.
  • 2 teaspoon of honey
Put the cucumber on a blender and mix honey in it. Pass the mixture through a sieve and pour the mixture in a bottle. This can be preserved in freezer and used.

To use the toner- dab a cotton ball in the mixture and wipe your face with it. This can be used twice daily.

Glowing skin recipe: Honey and oatmeal face mask
Glowing and healthy skin is the epitome of beauty. One can get a brilliant skin by using the homemade honey and oatmeal face mask. This mask exfoliates the skin and therefore gives it a brilliant radiant look. Further this recipe is safe and natural and can be made easily at home.
  • ¼ cup of finely grounded oatmeal
  • 4 to 5 tablespoons of honey
  • ½ a cup of water
First, cook the oatmeal in ½ cup of water for some time. Then keep the mixture aside to cool off, say for 15 minutes. Add honey to the mixture and blend it well. Apply the mask on your face and neck and let it dry naturally. It’ll take about 20 minutes to dry. Wash off the mask with enough water so that no trace of the mask remains on your face.

Before applying the pack on your face try it on your skin to check if you’re allergic to any of the ingredients.

Anti-aging face mask
There are many natural resources available with strong anti oxidant properties which can help retaining the elasticity of your skin; give the skin the soft and supple look. The anti aging face mask would also help in reducing wrinkles and other signs of aging.

Chocolate, Banana and Honey anti-aging face mask
Banana is known for its strong anti aging properties. Similarly, honey helps the skin in retaining moisturizer. Chocolate also helps the skin in retaining collagen, the ingredient which provides the elasticity to the skin and makes it appear youthful.
  • 1 tablespoon of raw chocolate; powdered
  • 1 ripe banana; mashed
  • Few drops of rose essential oil
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
Mash the banana in a bowl. Add chocolate powder and honey to it. Add rose essential oil and mix the ingredients for the desired consistency. Apply the mixture on face and neck and leave it to dry.

Keep the pack on your face for 20 mins to 30 mins and wash off with cool water. You can immediately see improvement in your skin condition. Use the mask twice or thrice weekly for better result.

Acne removal: Baking Soda mask
Acne can be cured naturally by using natural ingredients. Following is an acne removing recipe which can help soothing acne problem.
  • Baking soda
  • Water
Make a solution of baking soda and water. Apply the solution on your face after cleaning it with a mild cleanser. Let the skin absorb the solution and then wash it off with cold water. It will give your skin a good feeling.

Lemon and honey to remove tanning
Your skin will grow dark with long exposure in sun. Under sun the pigmentation producing cells of your skin becomes active and as a result your skin grows darker. Your skin can also suffer from sun burn from long exposures. Lemon has a strong acidic property which can help removing tanning.
  • 2 teaspoons of honey
  • 4 to 5 drops of lemon juice
Take 2 teaspoon of honey in a bowl and mix lemon juice in it. Apply the mixture on your skin and leave it to dry. This will remove tanning and at the same time will add a glow to your skin.

You can also apply coconut oil on the sun burned area of your skin. It will help reducing redness as well as sooth irritation.

Basic lip balm
Smooth and fuller lips are the sign of youth. Natural ingredients can help retaining moisturizer in your lips and prevent it from chapping. Following is a recipe of basic lip balm, which can be prepared in home and stored.
  • 1/2 ounce of beeswax
  • 4 ounces of almond oil, preferably sweet almond oil
  • 1 teaspoon jojoba beads
  • Few drops of essential oil
  • Few drops of essence of your choice
Put almond oil in a measuring glass and then add beeswax to it. Heat the mixture in the microwave till the wax melts. Stir in jojoba beads and essential oil in the mixture as well as the essence. Pour the mixture in a clean jar and let it cool. Once the mixture settles you can store it and use it as lip balm.

Hair care: natural solutions
There are also natural remedies available for hair problems. Following are some of the quick natural hair care tips.
  • If you are suffering from dandruff you can benefit from using lemon juice in your scalp. Dab a ball of cotton in lemon juice and apply it in the scalp. You can use it before bath and then wash your hair thoroughly.
  • Olive oil is a great solution for dry hair. Use of olive oil will improve the health of your hair as well as add shine to it.
  • Mayonnaise is a great conditioner. Massage your hair with mayonnaise and rinse it off completely for bouncy and shiny hair.
  • Mix egg white with yogurt to prepare a pack for your hair. Apply the pack in your hair and let it rest for some time. Clean the pack with shampoo. This will improve the overall health of your hair.
  • Vinegar adds shine. Add two table spoon of vinegar in one mug of water and wash your hair with it after shampooing.
