Trager Approach

The Trager Approach was developed by Milton Trager. It is considered to be an innovative approach to movement education which was developed over a period of nearly 65 years. In the Trager approach, there are two phases- active and passive. Active aspect is called 'Mentastics' and the passive aspect is referred to as the tablework. A series of gentle, non-intrusive movements are involved in the Trager approach. This provides deep relaxation to the recipient and enhances activity. Muscles are relaxed and the host feels mental rejuvenation. Trager Approach is particularly helpful to individuals who have various illnesses or ailments or may be recovering from a state of shock, injury or trauma.
