Bowen Therapy
Bowen Therapy was developed by Australian Thomas Ambrose Bowen in the early 1950's. It is a system of healing that is supposed to help individuals who suffer from a wide range of physical ailments. Bowen Therapy is considered to be non-invasive and gentle in nature.
Deeply Inspired after observing treatment of athletes and sportsmen by their trainers, Bowen developed his own technique to treat workers at his factory. Subsequently, he set up his clinic in the year 1957. His co-worker's wife, who had recently suffered from a stroke was very much benefited from his treatment. Later she became his business partner and took Bowen Therapy to the next level. Terming themselves ' manual therapists', they took the treatment further. Today, Bowen Therapy is recognized widely in Australia and New Zealand. Its techniques have also been accepted in UK and the US.
