Bowen Therapy

Bowen Therapy was developed by Australian Thomas Ambrose Bowen in the early 1950's. It is a system of healing that is supposed to help individuals who suffer from a wide range of physical ailments. Bowen Therapy is considered to be non-invasive and gentle in nature.

Brief History Of Bowen Therapy:

Deeply Inspired after observing treatment of athletes and sportsmen by their trainers, Bowen developed his own technique to treat workers at his factory. Subsequently, he set up his clinic in the year 1957. His co-worker's wife, who had recently suffered from a stroke was very much benefited from his treatment. Later she became his business partner and took Bowen Therapy to the next level. Terming themselves ' manual therapists', they took the treatment further. Today, Bowen Therapy is recognized widely in Australia and New Zealand. Its techniques have also been accepted in UK and the US.

How Bowen Therapy Works:

Bowen Therapy is very effective in relieving tension of the muscles and provide the host with a deep soothing feeling. It works effectively on the muscles, ligaments and tendons and provides significant relief from pain. Bowen Therapy is also known to enhance energy, remove fatigue and rectify structural problems. Manipulation of the soft tissues of the body during Bowen Therapy sessions stimulates the nervous system which aids in healing. Blockages are released, circulatory problems are mitigated, and a sense of deep relaxation is provided to the host.
