If you have decided on a typical black, brown or gray smoky eye - apply the liner in one of these colors on the upper lash line, and then making the line thicker in the middle. For a jewel-toned eye (violet color makes gorgeous smoky eye), line your eyes with a purple, blue or deep green liner.
- The colors should be blended well on the lashes at the bottom.
- The base color should always be light. That is the key to a smoky eye.
- After the base color has been applied well, you should blend in a darker color.
