You would surely want to stand out among the crowd! Dramatic eye makeup is a concept that many crave for but the methods or the skills required is not adept to get the look. You should have an expert hand to give that dramatic eye makeup touch. We all probably know that the dramatic eye makeup definitely makes you look stunning in an evening gathering. It is because your eyebrows become more defined and the eye shadow colors make your eyes more expressive. Dated back in the 1960′s, it was the eyeliner that played the key role in giving a dramatic eye look, and still today it is really popular. Eyes after all do all the speaking. Dramatic Eye Makeup Tips

  • Use an eye pencil for coloring your eyebrows a shade usually darker than the natural color.
  • Keep your eyebrows symmetrical and do not go against the shape.
  • Apply a light shaded eye shadow right from the eyelash line to the eyebrows. You can apply a darker shade in a thin line just in the crease of the eyes. By this, your eyelids will appear to be larger and more dramatic.
  • For a vibrant look in the eyes, apply a medium shaded eye shadow on the darker shade that has been applied in the crease of the eye. Blend it well in the eyebrow bone.
  • Dramatic eye makeup look is incomplete without the eyeliner and mascara. Black eyeliner can be applied on the upper eyelashes. The last look of the dramatic eye makeup is done by applying two coats of mascara on both the upper and lower lashes.

Method for a Dramatic Eye Makeup

  • Have a clean face which is also moisturized. Apply foundation as usual. Do apply concealer if needed.
  • For grooming the eyebrows, use an eyebrow brush. The stray hairs can be tweezed.
  • There should be two coordinating eye shadow colors. The entire eyelid (right from the lashes to the eyebrow) should be covered with a light to medium colored eye shadow.
  • The darker color should be used in the crease of your eye. It is essential to blend the colors well. Use your fingers for that.
  • A lot of color combinations (for the eye shadow) can be tried.
  • Now apply the eyeliner. Opt for a dark color that complements your eyes. You could even choose black or brown.
  • Use an eyelash curler to curl the eyelashes. At least two thin coats of smudge-proof mascara should be applied. The most dramatic effect on the eyes are given by the black mascara. Other colors like brown-black or midnight blue could also prove to be dramatic for your eye makeup.
