Feingold diet is very popular in this world. It became well-known from the program mentioned in the book “Why Your Child is Hyperactive.” The book was published in 1970s by Dr Benjamin Feingold. He was a pediatrician and allergist. He wanted to help children having learning and behavior difficulty by offering some diet plans. Such problems are known as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Dr. Feingold Diet can provide your child healthy lifestyle by curing behavior problems, learning deficiency and so on. Choose the right food options for your little angel and enjoy life happily.
Feingold Diet Program
Usually Feingold diet comprises of two phases. The complete diet plan is more comprehensive than a simple diet. In its first stage, the diet helps to remove all kinds of additives and chemical compounds from your food list. In this way, you become able to get rid of all offending items. The second stage is about reintroducing a component at a time. This helps you to decide which substance you can tolerate properly.
Which foods are eliminated in Feingold diet plan?
- There are four types of chemicals and additives which are separated while you are enjoying the Dr Feingold diet. At first, all kinds of synthetic colorings are eliminated. Such colorings are prepared using some products of petroleum. Even, these are the main culprits in causing hyperactivity in children. Therefore, you should remain careful about any foods which have colors.
- Feingold’s diet program also eliminates flavorings. Such harmful flavors can cause behavior problems in children. Try to stay away from artificial flavoring.
