A dash diet is recommended for the people suffering from high blood pressure. This diet plan has been introduced by the National Heart, Lung and Heart institute of the United States. It indulges more to vegetables than the non vegetarian foods. Actually it is based on the limited intake of sodium.
Dash Diet Theory
The dash diet theory has been introduced after an extensive research and study. The theory is accepted and well appreciated by the scientists. It recommends low fat dairy products, vegetables and fruits. According to the theory one should not take more than 2400 milligrams of sodium per day. It also suggests consuming 500 milligram of magnesium and 1240 milligrams of calcium. The theory is recommended by the following health associations.
