Cabbage Soup Diet Plan


The diet is meant for seven days. And if you want to lose weight, you must strictly adhere to this specific plan.

  • First day: The very first day you can have this soup along with a fresh fruit. You can take a medium size apple or guava. However, a banana is not suggested to take.

  • Second day: second day you can take some vegetables along with the soup. For dinner, you can include a baked potato along with butter with a cabbage soup.

  • Third day: In the third you can take lots of vegetables and some fresh fruits along with the soup.

  • Fourth day: A cabbage soup can be taken with some bananas. A glass of skimmed milk can also be consumed in the fourth day.

  • Fifth day: The fifth day meal is full with a cabbage soup and some ripe tomatoes. You can include some fish or meat in your lunch or dinner as well.

  • Sixth day: Beef along with some green vegetables must be eaten along with the soup. You can end up your lunch or dinner with a glass of fruit juice.

  • Seventh day: After achieving a satisfactory result in reducing weight, you can indulge yourself in brown rice, fruit juices and vegetables. In the last day you are allowed to take rice. However in this seven day you must stay away from alcohol and beverages.

Recipe for Cabbage Soup Diet


Ingredients Required
  • Green onions
  • Green peppers
  • Tomatoes (cut)
  • Carrots
  • Mushrooms
  • Cabbage
  • Chicken (optional)
  • Salt and pepper
Method
  • Saute sliced green onions in a wok for sometime.
  • Add pieces of green pepper into the wok and keep tossing it.
  • Then add cut cabbage and carrots into this mixture.
  • Later, slice mushrooms and tomatoes and add to this mixture.
  • Add about 13 cups of water to this mixture.
  • Cover the mixture and keep stirring until the vegetables are soft and cooked.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Then add spices.
  • If you would like to have spicy soup, then add crushed pepper powder to it.
  • If you want, you can even add pieces of chicken to this soup.

  • In between soups, you must make it mandatory to drink about 5-6 glasses of water daily.
