Adolescent Nutrition
Adolescent nutrition is important for the overall development of the teenagers. You should give your darling son or daughter appropriate foods that help them maintain a healthy body. A proper diet can reduce many health problems like week bones and diabetes. Thus you must keep in mind that he must have a balanced diet which includes carbohydrate, protein and fat. Lets’ see what you should give him and what not.
Adolescent nutrition habits
Include fat and sweets. A teenager or a school going kid must take at least seventy three gram of fat every day. Thus include chicken and egg in his or her breakfast or lunch. He should take one or two pieces of chicken everyday at lunch or dinner. You must take one egg everyday at breakfast. Sugars also have an immense contribution in an adolescent’s growth. It supplies calories which is very important for their health development. They can intake brown sugar and one or two pieces of cake everyday. Sweet fruits also help.
Add carbohydrate. Carbohydrate should be included in an adolescent dietary chart. You must give him two or three slices of bread, along with boiled potato. However, cereals can also be included. There is a number of health food available in the market enriched with cereals. These can be taken with milk or fruit juices.
Include Calcium and Iron enriched foods. Give your little star iron and calcium enriched foods. Foods that are rich in calcium are as follows:

Breakfast idea for adolescents
Kids should have breads, boiled or fried egg, fruits and fruit juices. Here is a healthy and interesting breakfast recipe for adolescents –
- Ingredients –Egg(one), whole grain bread of two slices, cheddar cheese( grated), butter, salsa
- How to prepare –Pour butter on a pan and place two slices of bread on it. Now add cheese and salsa over it. Now crack the egg on it. Now leave it one medium temperature on the hot pad or gas oven until the cheese melts completely. With the help of a spatula, place the whole thing on a serving dish. Spread salt and pepper on it. Serve it with tomato soup or sauce.
Lunch idea for adolescents
Adolescents include lots of carbohydrate like breads or rice along with some protein stuffs including chicken or fish pieces in their lunch menu. They can end up with yogurt or a piece of sweet.
Dinner idea for the adolescents
Various soups along with breads should be taken at dinner. They should drink a glass of hot milk at the end.
