Abs Diet
The concept of the Abs Diet was conceived by David Zinczenko, who happens to be the editor for the fitness magazine ‘Men’s Health’. It is a concept which is quite new and is catching up the trend. Which diet principle is usually followed by athletes, fitness models, and bodybuilders? They abide by the basic fundamentals of the diet regimen.
Diet principles for them are
- Eating frequently (at least 5-6 times in a day)
- Building muscle
- Eating small amount of proteins
- Have carbohydrates
The Abs Diet helps you get a good defined abs, though it is challenging yet it is admired by a lot of people. Some also consider that if you have good abs, you can boast of a good body.
The Abs diet has a 7 day meal plan – comprising of 12 ‘power foods’. You can only eat whatever you want once in a week. It is advisable to avoid –
- Fatty meats
- Processed/refined carbs
- High-sugar foods

- Almonds and other types of nuts that are eaten with their skins in proper place
- Beans
- Spinach and other green vegetables
- Fat-free or low-fat milk like yogurt, cheese and cottage cheese
- Oatmeal, be it unsweetened or unflavored

- Turkey and other lean meats – chicken, fish
- Peanut Butter – sugar-free
