All
technicians opt for more than one course, either Gel, or
Acrylic nails for example. One can chose a single course or work up through the set of six courses.
Gel Nails Course
This is the absolute beginners course, that takes around 60 hours to complete. Gels are the latest trends in the arena of
professional nail enhancements.
Gels are like honey, its applied to the nail and extension with a small brush. Its easier to apply than Acrylics making it apt for beginners. Gel nails are cured using an ultra violet light and are odor free and beautiful to look at. Whether you are an expert or a beginner, you need to learn Gel Nails to offer modern services to your clients.
Acrylic Nails Course
This is also known as 'liquid and powder' and is the classic nail extension system with the highest demand by customers. It usually takes around 80 hours to complete the course.
Small balls of acrylic and powder on a brush are mixed and applied to the nail and extension tip, followed by filing and polishing to give it that required gloss finish. Its the next level from Gel.
Fiberglass Nails Course
This is the most user friendly to the nail, far more aggressive than chemicals, gel or acrylic. After extending the
natural nail with tip, small pieces of fiberglass are applied to the nail and coated with resin. Without any odor it looks natural and much easier to maintain.
Airbrushing Nails Course
- This is as good as learning to paint, as you learn to create intricate designs on the nails.
- Colored paints are sprayed on to the nails using a small airbrush. Patterns and shapes are created by blending colors or spraying through stencils.
- You can create thousands of designs and the course contains everything that you ever wanted to learn, from compressors to practical assessment and certification. It takes around 40 hours to pass this course.
Acrylic sculpted nails
This is one of the most expensive
nail treatments. The course too is not a cake walk and it takes a minimum of 8 hrs a week for a 12 week course and the results are worth that hard work. In this process, the tip is not used and the entire nail is created entirely from Acrylic powder and liquid, and once you master this skill there is no looking back.
So now that you know about the courses make up your mind to put in that hard work and see it reap the benefits for you.
