Home made manicure tips
- Remove the old nail polish. Use a nail enamel remover to remove your nail polish. Soak the nails with nail remover and wait for 5 seconds. The nail polish will come off easily.
- Put lukewarm water on a bowl and mix it with mild soap or shampoo. Dip your hands and fingernails. Take a nail brush to the clean the nail and its corners.
- Use a soft towel to dry your skin.
- Apply a fine moisturizing lotion or hand cream and massage thoroughly. Gently apply the moisturizer on your hands and leave it for at least 8 minutes. Soak cotton balls in water to remove the moisturizer.
- Use cuticle remover cream to get rid of the dead skin around your cuticles. You will get cuticle remover cream or use mixture of olive oil and kosher salt to exfoliate your hands. Sugar particles can also be used as a scrub.
- Shape your nail with a proper nail file. To polish your nails use a buffer. Always use a nail file or buffer gently.
- To make your hands more attractive you should reveal the half-moon shaped area of your nails.
- Massage your hands with a fine moisturizing lotion, olive oil or wheat germ oil. Allow the oil to stay on your hands for 8-10 minutes.
- To remove the oil, use a soft towel.
- Rub melted beeswax onto your nails for a more shining finish.

- If you do not want to polish your nails with nail colors then you can just remove the old nail polish and moisturize it with a fine moisturizing lotion.
- In case you do not have cuticle oil, olive oil will also serve the purpose.
- To avoid chips and cracks use light polish rather than dark polish.
- To file your hand you can also use the coarse edge of a match book.
- For better result, store the nail polish in the fridge.
