French manicure Procedure




There are various fashion experts who have different views on French manicure. Few think that French manicure is a concept which has become outdated and gone past the usual time period. While there are also others who opine that French manicure is a concept which shall never go out of fashion. The fashion experts might have different views but the fact remains that women generally goes for French manicure as it is simple and also gives a natural look to the nails quite naturally. French manicure also makes the nails clean, it appears that it has been well-groomed and it is not too flashy at the same time.

But are we at all aware of the concept of French manicure? The French manicure process is a style to polish the nails by applying the nail paint on the tips of the fingernails, whereas the rest of the nails enjoy a pink coat or it is also painted with sheer polish which is colored either of the pale pink shade or very light beige shade. Keep in mind that French manicure is always apt for short nails and nails which are of moderate length.

But the process of French manicure should start after you have followed the general rule for applying nail polish. Take the right preparation of the nails first and then go through the process of French manicure quite meticulously.

Steps of French Manicure:

  1. Prepare the nails – You need to remove old nail polish from your nails and file your nails in proper shape.

  2. Soak the nails – Make sure you soak your nails in lukewarm water such that the cuticles get softened.

  3. Prepare the cuticle – You should gently push the cuticles back in place using an orange stick. The very first time you do this on your nails, you may find a lot of cuticles. Remove them by using a cuticle remover.

  4. Apply Cream – After you are done with that, apply hand cream on the nails and rub them properly. Keep in for 2-3 minutes. Then you need to wipe the nails with the help of facial tissue and remove the excess cream.

  5. Apply the basecoat – You need to apply a clear basecoat and leave it for drying.

  6. Paint your Nails – Use a neutral or pale shade which matches the natural color of the nail. Let it dry , wait for few minutes and then apply another coat.

  7. Paint the nail tips – You should paint the white tip of the nails naturally with an opaque white or beige shade.

  8. Finish off with a clear polish – There is a need to finish off the nail with a clear coat of polish. This will help protect the layers lying underneath.

  9. Let the nails dry – It should take at least 20 minutes for your nails to dry up and resume work. It is advisable that you should wait one whole hour before really using your hands.
