In the recent times people have become much more focused regarding their careers and therefore have less time to indulge in a regular hair care routine. Still, it is necessary to take out some time from our busy schedule to protect our hair from hazards like hair loss, dandruff and hair scalp diseases like alopecia.

The most important part of hair care routine is maintaining a good hair hygiene which comprises of cleaning and washing hair at regular intervals. There are several branded shampoos in the beauty stores that you can avail, but you need to be careful about the composition.

Types of hair:
Hair types may be broadly classified into:

Dry hair lacks luster and look dull. They are often split at the ends. Dry hair can be caused by lack of oil glands on the scalp or by external factors, like frequent use of hair dye, exposure to sun, frequent use of shampoo etc.

Oily hair is, as the name itself says, oily and limp. It is difficult to do a good style on an oily hair.

Dandruff is one of the major reasons for hair fall besides environmental pollution. Dandruff is actually the dead cells of the scalp which is white in color and has itchy nature. It is quite irritating and may lead to fungal infections like alopecia. Alopecia is a medical term which refers to the falling of hair in chunks, thereby creating a barren space that resembles spot baldness.
