Genesis of Cosmopolitan


Cosmopolitan Magazine, started off as a family magazine in 1866. Launched by Schlicht and Field it is now one of the best selling magazines in upscale and sophisticated homes. It was then known as ‘The Cosmopolitan’, which got rid of the article in the subsequent years. It is also dubbed as Cosmo.

CosmoGirl Magazine


It was born in 1999 as an offshoot of Cosmopolitan magazines for teenage girls but it is no more in production. The last issue has been published in December 2008.

Cosmopolitan Magazines and Men


The ideal to publish Cosmopolitan magazines for men saw the print of a single edition of ‘Cosmopolitan Man’. The magazine featuring Jack Nicholson and Aurore Clement in the cover page was targeted at the male audience but somehow, Cosmopolitan Magazine’s penchant for women surpassed the men magazine that was once again published as a Cosmopolitan supplement in 1989.
