  • The runway floor is found in narrow shape. Usually it is a higher platform where models walk with style and attitude. Walking through this stage, they show off their dresses, shoes, numerous other fashion accessories, etc.

How to walk on the runway?

  • When you are walking on the ramp, position the ball of the foot down first. Adjust the body properly and do the walking on tippy-toes.
  • Place the toes in forward position. Go for a single line with the footprint. The walking may be similar to that of walking on a rope or on a beam. It will offer the body good swing.
  • During walking always focus on straight direction. Know how to carry the wearing with dignity and style. Keep your chin downward. Models should know such rules. While turning back, move your head at the very end.
  • Don’t swing the upper arms. Stay simple and natural. Sway the lower arms gently while walking.
  • Many renowned fashion brands use the runway in wrong way. Usually, it’s a long floor with 45 meters length. Walking on it with high heel sometimes creates problem for the models. Christian Dior, Vivienne Westwood, etc brands are responsible in occurring such condition.
