In 2009, the residents of New York City will have angels coming down to their city in November bearing the news that the city will host the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. It happens to be the hottest fashion show of the year. The glamour needs to be brought back, though it is already there.

Highlights of Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

• In 1995, Victoria's Secret held the first fashion show. The entire media reported it as the ‘lingerie event of the century’.
  
  
• In 2000, the show was held in Cannes, France, during the Cannes Film Festival for raising money for the Cinema Against AIDS charity. It could raise $3.5 million.
  
  
• In 2004, the annual fashion show didn’t take place. Instead, The Angels (Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio) went for an Angels Across America Tour – which was a grassroots campaign for the brand visiting four major cities, New York, Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
  
  
• Rutgers University Drumline made a guest appearance in 2005 for the show's finale. This was Tyra Banks' last runway appearance.
  
  
• The 2007 show had a performance by the Spice Girls and gained fame as the first American TV debut of the band after their comeback.

This ‘looked forward to’ fashion show features mostly lingerie and a multi-million-dollar ‘Fantasy Bra’. Each model is chosen among the angels for wearing the Fantasy Bra. It is first advertised in the Victoria's Secret Catalog and from 2001 it has been shown in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

1. Heidi Klum is the only Victoria's Secret Angel who worn three Fantasy Bras.

2. Gisele Bündchen and Karolina Kurkova each have worn two Fantasy Bras.
