Paulo Fashion Week




Paulo Fashion week is one of the important fashion week in Latin America. This fashion week appears almost all the important fashion weeks across the world like London, Milan, New York and Paris. It is said that this fashion week changed Brazilian textile industry and restructured it. Other than fashion world, this fashion week is marked for campaigns for prevention of AIDS and cancer, campaign for hunger, recycling waste for energy production and promoting education.

The Sau Paulo Fashion Week Summer 2009 showcased some of the colorful dress and flashy designs of the year. The presentations of this line of summer collections saw flashy details like ruffles and low crotches followed by adequate use of one of the most stylish materials of the universe- denim. This Fashion week took place in Tokyo in order to pay the homage to centenary anniversary of immigration of Japan to Brazil. Before that the venue of this fashion event used to be in the building of Niemeyer Bienal.

The designer, who stole the entire show was none other than Alexandre Herchcovitch. The designs focused on the appearances of military suit. For women, the designs were loose outfits with pastels and soft ruffles. For men the designs experienced an innovative and interesting meaning of uniforms usually worn Asian countries like Pakistan and Africa.

The signature collection of this designers is like an exercise, where he had done pretty well. Cut looking dresses in different color blocks cut and stitched in such a way that the dress plays with body movement. For men, he picked up the theme of urban cowboy. The dresses for men featured fringes, leather galore designed with hooded jackets.

Some of the other designs of this renowned designer was inspired from the ethnic cuts and patterns of Mexico. The cuts and patterns resembled a great with some of the traditional items from the Mexican culture ponchos, for example. In Sau Paulo Neon is one of the fastest emerging fashion faves. Neon also presented their collection line in this fashion week. The designs reminded the audience the women of Tahiti painted by Paul Gaugin and the hula girls of Hawaii.

Oestudio was another participant of Paulo Fashion Week, who returned after a gap of two long years maintained their creativity with innovative cuts. Another famous brand Red Cells also maintained their constant flexibility with flowers.

The collection of Marcelo Sommer named Do Estilista seemed to pave the way for fancy. This line of collection was showcased under strange category. The collection showcased with cocktail/geisha dress with street ready piece. Ronaldo Fraqa focus was on the pollution of Sao Franciso river. This freshwater river is endeared and considered sacred by the people of this country. To show the concerns in saving this river from pollution, this designer designed clothes that appeared like fish. The creative designs of the denim deserves appreciation.
