The National Italian Fashion (Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana) is the main organization responsible for this gala event. The group hosts and manages the fashion shows in Milan. As a representative of the Italian Fashion industry, the group wishes to uphold the reputation of Milan as one of the fashion capitals by bringing out a fusion between luxury prêt-à-porter or ready-to-wear outfits and haute couture from the renowned designers and fashion houses for both men and women.
Over 200 top companies in Italian Fashion become the protagonists or associates of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. In the 1920s, Salvatore Ferragamo was one of the famous designers who exported beautiful hand-made shoes to the US by his own name. The other Italian luxury brands that have ruled world fashion over the years are Giorgio Armani, Gianni Versace, Valentino, Fendi, and Dolce & Gabbana, Gianfranco Ferrè, and Gucci, which is supposed to be the bestselling Italian fashion brand.
