Hong Kong Fashion Week has been regarded as the leading fashion fair in Asia. It is one of the most ancient fashion shows of the region. Fall/Winter 2009 HKTDC Hong Kong Fashion Week and HKTDC World Boutique, Hong Kong 2009 started on 12th January. Continuously for four days, from 12th to 15th, the fashion event was held. The show got additional attention because of Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest 2009 (YDC). It was organized on 12th January evening. From expert designers to young budding talents, everybody displayed their creations during the show.
About Hong Kong Fashion Week
During the time of recession also, the fashion week was crowded with buyers and fashion lovers. Actually, fashion is an integral part in Hong Kong’s economy. Traders and customers attended the show in search of some latest exclusive collections. Since, 1977, the YDC has been organized by the HKTDC. Around 200 contestants participated in the contest. The prizes which were allotted for the winners included Casual and Jeans-wear Group Prize, Contemporary Day-wear Group Prize, Party and Evening-wear Group Prize and last but not the least, the Overall Winner Prize.
Judges in Fall/Winter 2009 HKTDC Hong Kong Fashion Week
The show was presided over impressive judging panel. The judges were Ennio Capasa, the popular fashion celebrity, Japanese fashion designer Keita Maruyama and many more. Some other judges in the YDC were—

Fall/Winter 2009 Hong Kong Fashion Week products
This year, it was the 40th Hong Kong fashion event. It is the largest show in Asia and the second largest in the entire world. One of the fabulous collections during the fashion week was ‘The Over Rolls Fall.’ The Korean Brand displayed this product.
