Amsterdam International Fashion Week is known as AIFW. It’s a popular fashion show in the world. The initiative was taken first in 2004. The main purpose was to set Amsterdam on the map. All about Amsterdam International Fashion Show
- The fashion week is dedicated to professionals only. It is held at the former Gas Factories in Amsterdam’s Westergas’ region.
- Throughout four to five days, young and expert designers exhibit their talents. Models appear on the Amsterdam catwalk and show the exclusive style created by the designers.
- These days, people are showing tremendous craze for Dutch Fashion Design. Numerous rich and sophisticated audiences attend the show. Buyers, press, manufacturers of luxury international brands, all come up with great enthusiasm.
- All arrangements of the fashion event are organized in association with galleries, local museum, clubs, shops, etc. To reflect a royal atmosphere on the show, the organizers invite all high-profile guests.
- AIFW concentrates on mixing up commerce with creativity. Designers showcase some outstanding creations with unique patterns, materials and prints.
- During 2009 Amsterdam International Fashion Week, an innovative idea has been introduced. Plein 13 was a new idea on the show. It referred Ecoplein 13 which was a green fashion area. Famous fashion lines, such Eco Couture, Merunisha Moonilal, Bionat, Supernana and LCC participated on the show with their all modern collections.
