J. J. Valaya, Valaya

Valaya was founded by J.J. Valaya and T.J. Singh. Today, it is recognized as one of India's leading fashion houses. Specializing in the designing, manufacturing and retailing of fashion garments, it markets its products under the brand names J.J. Valaya, Valaya Home and Studio Valaya.

J.J.Valaya was the first Indian student to receive the Prix D'Or Incitation at the Young Designers International Competition, in Paris.

J.J. Valaya is credited to be the first Indian design house to have an independent solo show. This was way back in 1993. Other products marketed by Valaya include home furnishings and signature tapestries. The group's store, "Life" was launched in Delhi in the year 1996. "Life" is spread over one acre and is a fashion and lifestyle store. The Valaya label has adorned numerous models on the ramps of fashion shows held in London, Bangkok, Singapore, New York, Dubai and Hong Kong.

Valaya's "Life" is renowned to be India's largest single designer store. Its highly customized and ready to wear fashion accessories are popular nationally as well as internationally. Valaya has celebrated its decade long domination in the fashion industry with grand fashion shows in the year 2002.
