Gwen Renee Stefani was born on October 3, 1969. She is an American recording artist as well as a fashion designer. The rock band No Doubt had Stefani as the lead vocalist. They sang everything – from punk rock to new wave music. Their album Tragic Kingdom which came out in 1995 steered the path of success for them – gearing a sale of 16 million copies globally. With the fourth album – Return of Saturn being released in 2000, brought down the popularity of the band, but again went up the ladder with the next album – Rock Steady in 2001.

Stefani has been well-known in her circle as the one who has been a fashion trendsetter. It was in 2003 that her first clothing line L.A.M.B. was introduced. Later on, she added the 2005 Harajuku Lovers line to the original collection – being inspired from the Japanese culture and fashion style. Stefani is a great performer and her public appearances have always been along with four back-up dancers – commonly known as the Harajuku Girls. She went on to marry British grunge musician Gavin Rossdale in the year 2002 and together they have two sons – Kingston James McGregor Rossdale (born on May 26, 2006) and Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale (born on August 21, 2008).

She was born and brought up in Fullerton, California. Stefani’s father, Dennis Stefani was an Italian by birth and served the role of a marketing executive in Yamaha. Presently, he is the Executive VP of The Added Value Company. Stefani’s mother, however, had an Irish and Scottish link and was an accountant before raising his family. Both her parents loved folk music and made sure their daughter heard music by Bob Dylan and Emmylou Harris. She was the second oldest of the four children with a young sister, a younger brother, and an older brother.

Gwen Stefani’s collection while she went on stage with No Doubt gained a lot of appreciation. The styles were ethnic. Stylist Andrea Lieberman had introduced Stefani to the haute couture collection. She launched a fashion line in 2004, known as L.A.M.B. This fashion line bears inspiration from a number of fashion styles – Guatemalan, Japanese, and Jamaican. Celebrities like Teri Hatcher, Nicole Kidman, and Stefani herself have worn this range of collection.
During the later part of 2006, Stefani came out with a limited edition line of dolls known as ‘Love. Angel. Music. Baby. Fashion dolls’. These dolls were inspired from the different clothing lines worn by Stefani and the Harajuku Girls. During the late summer of 2007, she created her perfume range, ‘L’ – this was a part of the L.A.M.B. collection. ‘L’ has high notes of sweet pea and rose.
