History of Gucci:

Gucci started as a small leather goods company and a luggage store in the year 1921. It was founded by Guccio Gucci, after which the company is named. Gucci, who had worked in London's Savoy Hotel for several years, came out with innovative designer leather products. He made use of his liaison with the Tuscan craftsmen to produce innovative range of leather goods, including bags, belts, shoes, gloves, and trunks. In the 1940s and 50's, Gucci shot to fame with innovative products like, bamboo handle handbag, and the trademark striped webbing. In the later years, Gucci expanded further with iconic bags like ‘Hobo Bag' and ‘Jackie O'.

In the year 1979, Gucci Accessories Collection was launched. GAC or Gucci Accessories Collection consisted of small accessories, like, cosmetic bags, perfumes, lighters, and pens.
