These dresses gave a sense of liberation and allowed freedom of movement to women in the post- World War I era.

In the later years, Coco Chanel introduced a new line of beaded dresses, which consisted of a suit in two or three pieces. Beaded dresses became the new uniform for afternoon and evening parties. However, Chanel is remembered mostly for her famous brand of perfume, Chanel no 5, which carved a niche for her in the world of fashion.
