Fashion Television (popularly called FTV) was launched in France by President Michel Adam Lisowski, in 1997. It marked the beginning of a new trend of showcasing the world of fashion in the small screen and covering the fashion events happening all over the world. The channel delivered comprehensive coverage of the fashion shows especially the fashion weeks that take place biannually in the fashion capitals of Paris, Milan, London, and New York.
