Mrs. World is one of the oldest and most famous international beauty pageants. Inspired by Mrs. America, the international beauty contest is meant for married women. One of the best things about Mrs. World contest is that married women of all ages can take part in it. It is open to newly married women, as well as aged grandmothers or aunts.
History of Mrs. World:
Mrs. World contest dates back to the year 1977. It was founded by David Marmel. It was organized with the object of honoring the beauty and wit of married women. Mrs. World contest has been organized in many parts of the world, which include Queensland, Australia, Jerusalem, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Costa Rica, and India.
Aim of Mrs. World Contest:
Peace mission of Mrs. World is as important as the contestant itself. Its aim was to promote international peace and harmony. In the year 2007, more than 30 women participated in Mrs. World contestant. The participants went for a peace mission to Chechnya, where they met President Kadyrov. Each of the delegates brought gifts from their nation and presented them to him. Next, the contestants, along with the chief organizer, Marmel, visited school children and people of the war torn region. This was followed by a local folk dance program and a grand dinner with President Kadyrov.
India in Mrs. World Contest:
Indian participant Aditi Gowitrikar won the title of Mrs. India-World 2001 in the same year. The young doctor-turned model set the ball rolling for millions of Indian women who aspired to represent their nation, like her. In the year 2005, Mrs. World contest was held in Bangalore, India. It was organized by Sahara Manoranjan.
