Miss Tourism Queen International is one of the most popular beauty pageants of the world. It is an annual Chinese-based international beauty contest, which was established in the year 2004. One of the best things about Miss Tourism Queen International is that the contestants can take part in the beauty pageant from various nations and provinces, but also from well known tourist destinations. In the year 2008 Miss Tourism Queen International set the record for the highest no of participants in an international beauty contest. More than 113 women participated in the 2008 Miss Tourism Queen International contest.

History of Miss Tourism Queen International:

Miss Tourism Queen International originated from China. It was the brainchild of Mr. Charlie See. Miss Tourism Queen International was founded in the year 1949. Initially about 80 countries participated in the Miss Tourism National Queen contest. In the year1993, the Miss Tourism Queen International authority organized the first world final competition in Sri Lanka. In the later year, the contest was held in countries like, USA, Russia, Brazil, Germany, Japan, and Singapore. In the year 2004, Miss Tourism contest was held in China and it was decided that the beauty contest would be organized there for the next five years. More than 140 delegates participated in the 2004 and 2005 events. The top 3 winners of Miss Tourism Queen International represented China in the world final pageant from 20th March to 12th April 2008.

Miss Tourism Queen International is something more than an international beauty pageant; it is aimed at enhancing international tourism development, peaceful co-existence among different nations and for fostering international culture exchange. It also serves as an international platform for the involved regions, international business brands, tourist spots and tourist products, and fashion and luxury goods.
