Miss Intercontinental




Miss Intercontinental is one of the most popular beauty pageants held. The beauty competition usually takes place between April and July every year. The winner of Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant is selected after a series of Interviews, Swimsuit Competition, and Evening Gown Competition.

History of Miss Intercontinental:


Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant dates back to 1971. It was organized by Rene Lacle. The first Miss Intercontinental contest was held in the picturesque island of Aruba in Netherlands.

In the later years, the international beauty competition was held in a number of places across the world. The 2004 Miss Intercontinental contest was held in China. The Miss Intercontinental contest has grown largely in terms of sponsorship and numbers of participants.

Eligibility for Entering the Miss Intercontinental Beauty Contest:


In order to enter the Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant a candidate must be at least 18 years of age, but not more than 27 years. She must also possess proof of her age and nationality.

The 2008 Miss Intercontinental Contest:


The 2008 Miss Intercontinental Beauty Pageant Finals will be held on October 25. The final event will take place in the Music and Festivaldom in Zabrze, Poland. The 2007 Miss Intercontinental Nancy Afiouny of Lebanon will crown her successor.

The winner of 2008 Miss Intercontinental Beauty Pageant Finals will receive cash prizes, and an employment contract with WBO. She will also get a chance to stay one year in Panama or Germany, or tour the world, meeting VIPs and state directors.

Apart from Miss Intercontinental title, some of the other awards given are Miss Congeniality, Miss Photogenic, Best National Costume, Best Evening Gown, and Best Body.
