History of Beauty Contests for Men:
The beauty contests can be traced back to the ancient European customs and traditions. Needless to say, the beauty pageants basically focused on women for many years before paying attention to the men.
It was in the 1990s that male beauty contests became very popular and judging was not restricted to the “show of muscles” only. The natural physical attributes were not completely brushed aside but intellect and the overall personality was also taken into consideration.

Since the male beauty pageants promoted fresh talent and developed potential market for cosmetic brands and products, the contests tasted success with the passage of time.
