Course subjects

Clothing Construction: The course offers a practical understanding of various garments and their uses. The course consists of two levels: Dressmaking and Advanced Dressmaking. There is also a third level which specializes on beachwear, lingerie and other costumes.

Color and 2-d Design: The course deals with principles of color, design and the blend of various colors. The course also puts emphasis on textile art and design. The advanced level of the course deals with the use of 2 dimensional media like drawing, collages, print techniques and so on.

Fashion sketching: The course content includes various principles of design, principles of color, principles of drawing and deigning techniques with various items like pencils, markers, pens, water colors, fabric colors and so on. There is also an Advanced Collection Design that you can opt for after qualifying for the first semesters.

Hand Bag designing: The course content consists of history and development of hand bags, identifying various types of hand bags and their uses, construction and making of hand bags.

In addition to these courses, the School of fashion design also offers various certificate and short term courses on subjects like leather craft, history of costume, lingerie, menswear, women’s wear, pattern making, portfolio costume, sportswear, product positioning, 3-D design and lots more.

Apart from these, the School of fashion design, Boston organizes plenty of workshops and internship programs on various fashion related subjects. The part time tuition fee is $1,080 for individual courses while you need to pay $10,800 for full time, which includes 10 courses.
