Cellulite is the word used to explain the bumpy looking fat usually women get on their bodies. It is otherwise referred to as ‘cottage cheese’, because of the bumpy or bulging look which appears on the skin. It becomes evidently noticeable as it forms on the layer of fat very close to the skin. The fat cells expands resulting in collagen fibers, in turn creates stretch and wrinkle marks on the skin visible to the human eye.
Commonly Collagen fibers are known as connective tissue. Human bodies have three layers of fat. The collagen fibers surrounds around the fat deposits and then they are allowed to poke through and be seen. From there, the left out two layers of fat are not established and routine and are more skin deep than the concern of cellulite and liposuction as a method of visibly reducing it.
Lets keep it in mind that cellulite and liposuction do not always go hand in hand. Cellulite may or may not augment the procedure of liposuction. There are cases when liposuction can in reality make cellulite worse.
Many woman do think that might not be effective in itself. Liposuction only helps in removing fat cells, and cellulite on the other hand is not simply a problem of too much of fat.
There is an elaborate explanation on the different aspects of our skin involved in cellulite here. Basically, the effect of age and our hormones on our connective tissues, combined with the accumulation of fat in the upper layers of the skin, create the dimpled effect of cellulite. The tightening of the connective tissue, its loss of elasticity, and the accumulation of excess fluid and metabolites, all contribute towards the all round effect of cellulite. Liposuction does not give any solution towards these problems.
Additionally, liposuction for cellulite is not an proven effective option because liposuction usually removes fat from a deeper layer of the skin than where cellulite appears. Cellulite is deposited close to the surface of the skin. While the removal of fat from the deeper layers of the skin may have a good impact on some people, for others it may make their cellulite appear worse. The fat at the deeper levels can act to cushion and smooth out the cellulite near the skin surface. Removing that fat without having other cellulite treatments can make you realize you had more cellulite than you thought of on the initial stages.
However, if you have excess fat as well as cellulite, liposuction together with other techniques like endermologie, laser surgery, or some of the other proprietary methods, may be a good combination in achieving the appearance you want. Choosing a good, experienced surgeon, who has a knowledge of a wide range of surgical and non-surgical cellulite treatments, is going to be a better option than someone who simply specializes in one type of treatment. That way you can find out the benefits and disadvantages of each, and see if, in their experience, certain technologies will work for you.
