What you Need

  • Non-scented glycerin soap
  • Cinnamon Essential Oil
  • Nutmeg Essential Oil
  • Juniper Essential Oil
  • Sweet Orange Essential Oil
  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • Red Food Coloring Agent
  • Olive Oil
  • Soap Molds

How to Prepare & Apply

  • Take a large bar of glycerin soap and cut it into very small pieces.
  • Ground the cinnamon sticks but you should be careful to keep it in the granulated form.
  • Brush the inside of the mold with olive oil and keep it aside.
  • In a container or double boiler put the soap pieces and melt it on low heat
  • Remove from the heat and add 20-25 drops of Cinnamon Oil, 3-5 drops of nutmeg, sweet orange, juniper essential oils. Stir well.
  • Add very little food color and stir again.
  • Now, pour the melted soap into the mold and keep aside to harden.
  • When the first thin layer is formed, sprinkle the grounded cinnamon.
  • Use the soap everyday, for a refreshing feel and exfoliating action.

Benefits of Cinnamon Soap

The smell of the spices contained in the essential oils relieves you of your stress and helps you to relax as well as decrease any kind of soreness and bruises. The glycerin moisturizes whereas the cinnamon pieces on the soap helps to cleanse thoroughly and exfoliate.

Tips:

  • In order to avoid the soap from absorbing moisture, wrap it in plastic
  • To ensure the durability, do not leave it on watery or wet surface. Always keep the used soap in a well drained soap bar or in small net bags that can be hung up in the dry places. This is because natural soaps melt when left in wet areas.

Note:

  • If you are allergic to cinnamon, then do not use the soap.
