Fragrance

Don’t we all like to smell good – more so when we are in a gathering or attending an event. Smelling good turns away all the attention towards you –and who wouldn’t prefer that? There are varieties of perfumes in the market – and varied ways to smell alluring! The best factor to take into consideration while using a fragrance is that it should match your mood perfectly. Fragrance plays an important role to have a control over our emotions.

Fragrances have been appealing to the mass from a long time now. Every civilization have had their different opinions regarding fragrances – one thing remaining common – they emit beauty and allures people around you. Today, the fragrances and perfumes industry have evolved to become a multi-billion dollar one. The portfolio is huge and the different brand names of women's fragrances have created a niche for themselves in the market. Each of them comes under a separate price tag with separate features to be mentioned. Perfumes have always been the expensive among all fragrances but do deliver value for money.

We want to create an image of our own – and smelling good plays a part in that. But how to choose the best fragrance for yourself?

Factors to be considered while choosing a fragrance
  • See it for yourself that it suits your mood and character.
  • Choose a brand that has a positive impact on your mood and feelings.
  • See that does not have any side effect.
  • The main point is that is stays on for a long time and does not sublime away soon.
  • There could be different brands which will suit different settings –a formal evening would call for a different brand than that of a romantic date out.
Fragrances (specially perfumes) were divided in varied groups - flower, floral bouquet, ambery (a combination of scents of animals, flowers and wood), Woody (chiefly sandalwood and cedar), leather (honey, tobacco , wood and tar), cyprus and fern. After that fragrances were classified as bright floral, green, ocean, citrus and greedy.

European-style perfumes have a mixture of scents known as the top-notes, middle-notes and base-notes. Top-notes are nothing but light florals or citrus scents. The case is such that the first impression is that of a perfume but fade off immediately afterwards. Middle-notes are always the best of perfumes but base-notes have a lighter scent and thus last for a longer time.
