Procedure of Nose Surgery

General anesthetic or intravenous drugs are applied before commencing the nose surgery. Incisions are made inside the nose or along the columella, the narrow strip separating both of the nostrils. The nasal tissues are raised and reshaped to attain the perfect shape.

The nose is reshaped by using cartilage grafts from the septum or other areas of the body. Nose surgery also involves the straightening of the deviated septum. After the desired shape is achieved the nasal skin is re draped and sutured. Results are fully noticeable after approximately an year after the operation.

Risks of Nose Surgery

Internal tubes and splints are used to support the nose after the operation for about a week. Nasal swellings may occur after the operation. In some cases, infections might occur the completion of the operation. These can however, be overcome by taking the proper medications.
