Light chemical peels remove dead cells and excess oil from the pores of the skin. Beta hydroxy acids or BHA and glycolic acid or AHA are some of the key ingredients used in light chemical peels. The solution is applied to the skin with a cotton pad or sponge.

No anesthetic is applied during the treatment. TCA peels are ideally suited for dark skinned people. The skin is treated with Retin A or AHA creams before a TCA peel treatment.
