Hair Tweezing

Hair tweezing is ideal for removing body hair in small sections. It is a very popular method for shaping eyebrows. Hair tweezers are also used to remove facial hair from the chin portion. You need to exercise extra caution while tweezing out unwanted hair from the skin. If done improperly, hair tweezing can result in the breakage of blood vessels surrounding the hair follicles.

Tips on Hair Tweezing

  • Sterilize your tweezers before tweezing out hair.
  • It is preferable to tweeze your hair right after a hot bath or shower.
  • Stretch the skin with your fingers. Grip the hair with the tweezer just close to the root and pull in the direction of hair growth.
  • Apply ice cubes over the area that has been tweezed to minimize the pain.
  • If you have sensitive skin, press the area to be tweezed with a dampened cloth or soft tissue and then start off with the process.
