Hair Removal Techniques
What are the easiest ways of removing unwanted hair from the body and the face without reverting to expensive salon treatments? Well, there are lots of ways by which unwanted hair can be removed from the skin. Some of these hair removing techniques are easy and inexpensive and can be performed at Beauty Tips. Other hair removal procedures like electrolysis, laser hair removal and chemical peels are to be done under the supervision of skin care therapists.
Different Ways of Hair Removal
Unwanted hair can be removed from the body by a variety of methods. The commonest methods are waxing and threading. Waxing is an excellent method of hair removal, as it removes hair right from the roots and considerably reduces hair growth.
Cold wax is good for sensitive skin. You should remember that Brazilian or Hollywood waxing, which removes hair from the genital region should best be done under the supervision of a beauty care therapist.
Removing unwanted hair by plucking can be a painful experience and is not advised for sensitive skin. Threading is a comparatively safe and less painful method of hair removal.
Epilators are electronic equipments which remove body hair right from the roots. However, they may cause burns on your skin, if not used carefully. Epilators should also not be used on broken or itchy skin.
Depilatory creams are also useful for removing unwanted hair. These creams have to be applied on the skin with a spatula and have to wiped off after keeping on for a certain period of time. Depilatory creams might contain irritants and hence are not advisable for sensitive skin.
Laser hair removal and electrolysis are good for permanent removal of unwanted hair. In laser hair removal, the melanin inside the hair follicles are exposed to the laser rays which converts them to heat and damages the hair roots and prevents the hair from regrowing. Electrolysis is also a much preferred technique for hair removal.
