Forehead Lift Plastic Surgery

Forehead lift plastic surgery helps to enhance your eyebrows, tighten the facial muscles in the forehead region and remove excessive fat and skin from the forehead. It helps to get rid of brow furrows and lift up sagging eyebrows.

A forehead lift surgery is often combined with a face lift for a younger, refreshing look. Forehead lift surgery can be categorized into two types- the endoscopic forehead lift and the classic forehead lift.

Surgical Procedure of Forehead Lift Plastic Surgery

Forehead lift plastic surgery is done after the application of local anesthetic. In classic forehead lift surgery, an incision is made along the hair line extending up to both of the ears.

The facial skin is lifted of the forehead and trimmed to remove excess fat and skin. The skin of the forehead is then sutured of.

Endoscopic forehead lift are applicable for those who are bald and do not have a hair line. Up to five small incisions are made along the scalp. Each of these incisions are less than an inch in length. An endoscope is inserted through each of the incisions to have a view of the tissues and muscles lying underneath. The excess tissue and fat are removed with a scalpel and the muscles are repositioned. The incisions are sutured off.

You should not wash your hair for about two weeks after the operation.

Risks of Forehead Lift Plastic Surgery

You might experience numbness along your hair line. Swellings and itching normally disappear in a few days. You might be overly susceptible to migraines and headaches. Injury to the nerves lying in the forehead region occur in certain cases.
