Electrolysis Hair Removal
Electrolysis is a much preferred method of unwanted hair removal from the face and the body. The electrolysis process involves damaging the roots of the hair follicles by the application of heat or chemical energy.
This negates the chances of further hair regrowth. You need to undergo a number of sessions to complete the treatment of electrolysis. The duration of the treatment usually lasts from 15 minutes to an hour.
Electrolysis Hair Removal Procedure
Electrolysis can be used to remove unwanted hair from the upper lips, chin portion, the arms and the legs. Contrary to popular belief, electrolysis is not a painful procedure. A superfine metallic probe is inserted into the hair follicle. Electricity is generated through the metallic probe to the roots of the hair follicles. This causes permanent damage to the hair roots and prevents further growth of hair. The loose hair is then removed with a pair of forceps.
Electrolysis Hair Removal procedure generally involves weekly treatment, depending upon the hair growth. The boon is that the unwanted hair will be removed permanently on completion of the treatment.
Risks Involved in Electrolysis Hair Removal
Electrolysis can cause permanent damage to the skin if it is done improperly. Electrolysis treatment can be painful at times and involves the risk of skin infections. Electrolysis can be tedious and expensive for removing large amounts of hair. Electrolysis can also lead to partial or full hair regrowth if not done properly.
